I have been mixing colours to use for my Spectrum Year Challenge. It has taken a while because I have been tweaking the colours slightly in the hope that all 7 palettes will play nicely together by the end of the year. If you are related to several… strong personalities… and you’ve organised a family event you know what I mean!
My colours are more saturated than those in the palettes because I find desaturating a colour as difficult as waking a baby. Logically I accept that it may be necessary, but it still feels wrong! (By the way the actual colour chips look a bit different in person to how they appear in the scan above.)
Here are the recipes using Fimo Professional, and percentages for the quantities (click here to see why):
Beige
- 99 white
- 0.45 true yellow *
- 0.05 true green *
- 0.5 black
* (0.5% mix of 90 true yellow 10 true green)

- 90 white
- 8 true yellow
- 2 true red
Orange
