Last week for my 2015 Polymer Clay Challenge piece I wanted my clasp to be crisp and sleek, so this week for my indigo beads I decided to chillax a bit and plan something a little wonky.
I made wonky cube beads with a distorted cane slices. I gave them a bit of an extra squish so they are slightly irregular and include fingerprints. They are rather addictive to play with, like dice :).
It was fun not worrying too much about getting evenly sized beads, or preventing cane distortion. I think they’ll make a fun necklace.
I like these, at first I thought you had made the bead in layers and then carved into it rather than adding slices. The effect is like looking into the bead.
Ooo, that’s a great idea for a bead!
So
ambitious!!! and beautiful to boot. I am impressed.
Thanks 🙂
Oooh I like these! The colours are brilliant and a nice touch with unevenness.
They were fun to do, I expect I’ll be making more soon 🙂
