I have just been given a link to some wonderful mandalas made using flower petals and found objects. I’m feeling inspired to dig out the flower canes and try some myself using polymer clay. I found a lovely mandala tutorial a while ago, but I still haven’t tried it yet – there just isn’t enough play time in a day!
Here are a two of my favourite in situ images.

The danmala gallery is mesmerizing… and just reading the polyzine tutorial is rather meditative. I love the instruction to “just walk away, do something else… and see if the mandala needs anything else”. This project will definitely be a great final resting place for my sad cane leftovers. Thanks for featuring this, Cate!

beautiful! I took to drawing madalas for a while, I’ve got a really nice book – somewhere! Oh to have more time. Or even oh to be able to use the time I do have constructivley and creatively!
